Dr Shiv Govind Singh is a professor at Department of Electrical Engineering,Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.He has pursued his M-Tech from IIT-Kanpur in 1996 and his PHD from IIT-Bombay in 2004.He has been doing pioneering work in the field of Bio and Gas sensors,Lab on Chip, MEMS/NEMS and 3D integrated electronics.He developed an electroanalytical sensor for detecting Aβ 42 in plasma which enables Facile, sensitive, and label-free detection with a wide range of detection ranging from 1fg/mL to 1ng/mL.
He is enthralled with the plethora of opportunities which nano-biosensors offer and promise they carry to revolutionize diagnostics..He believes diagnostic test should be available to the masses and should not be a privilege.In order to realize this vision he endevours to develop Affordable, Sensitive, Specific, User-friendly, Rapid and robust, Equipment-free and Deliverable to end-users (ASSURED) diagnostics .
